Carl,
I think "hate" is an awfully big leap. He has his critics, and a lot of them make good sense! His message is heavy on what God can do for you, and light on what You can do for God. He is also very much afraid to speak about sin in our lives. On Larry King, he later Apologized with a Temporary letter on his web site, practically deined that only through Christ does one go to Heaven. I could go on and on, but I think the majority of his critics think his message is less biblical and more worldly, material, feel good, speak your way to God's favor, which I think does nothing to bring one closer to God's truths.
