The church is afraid of the anointing that was on William Branham.
Brother Branham decided to become a teacher although he was neither called nor equipped for that role. He taught some amazingly heretical things because of this. Gordon Lindsay spoke to him about this. Kenneth Hagin received a prophetic word that the Lord was going to take him home if he did not repent. Brother Branham died the following year, hit by a drunk driver.
In his son’s account of that accident, Brother Branham was conscious at the accident scene. His wife was not breathing and appeared to his son to be dead. Brother Branham prayed for her and she recovered. He never prayed for himself.

My precious brother, in response of your afirmation, let me say that I wrote to brother Kenneth Hagin, years ago (when he was even alive), and asked about that prophecy what you mention, but he asnwered me that he didn’t do it. That’s all what I could say, besides of my poor knowledge of your language. So, excuse me, please, for my bad grammar.

My dear brother Emilio, Kenneth Hagin, Sr., did not mention Branham by name, but referred to him as a healer who became involved in false doctrine and wrote that God told him (Hagin) that the man had disobeyed his calling and was causing doctrinal confusion, so God was going to remove him from the earth, which came to pass. This is in the book, “Understanding the Anointing” by Kenneth Hagin (1983, pages 60-61). Bro. C. Douglas Weaver received a letter from Kenneth Hagin on August 8, 1984, in which Mr Hagin did say that yes, he was referring to William Branham in that passage.

Beloved brother Erick
I appreciate your words and the time you take to respond to my observation. In 1946 an angel visited to brother Branham and, after that singular experience, he received from God two signals: Health and discernment of spirits. But, as you will agree with me, the signs only attract the attention of the worshiper. Thus, the doctrine that Brother Branham brought, that there is no different to the doctrine of the apostle Paul, was the real motivation behind this special ministry that God gave us through Brother Branham.
He preached that God is One, and that Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three aspects of the titles or offices of the same and only God and that, consequently, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the Lord Jesus Christ. Is this a false doctrine?
He preached that water baptism (immersion) is also in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, as in the first century Christians were baptized, since the days of the Apostle Peter (Acts 2:38). Is this a false doctrine?
And, among other things, he preached the baptism of the Holy Ghost without sensation, but THE LITERAL LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST IN THE BELIEVER (and that languages are NOT evidence that a person has the Holy Spirit). Is this a false doctrine?
In 1963, Brother Branham was visited by seven angels and, after this visitation, the Lamb opened the seals in the book of Revelation 6 and 8 and were revealed to His Church through this prophet that, if you read this book, you’ll understand that there is nothing false doctrine, but it confirms the doctrine of the apostles, in the way that they understood it, to restore the genuine experience of Pentecost in our lives, in His Church, the Life of God in us, as a signal prior to the Rapture and our meeting with the Lord in the air. Sincerely, brother Erick, I see no false doctrine, what I can’t say respect the doctrine in the denominational churches that, as Revelation 17 as declare it, are the daughters of the harlot, the Catholic Church, the largest Spiritualist church in the world (Is that true?) and cradle of all doctrines of demons (Is that true?).
Certainly, brother Erick. In the days of Luther, God restored the faith, that the just shall live by faith; on days of Wesley, God restored more and, thus, till the restoration of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but was the Church of God ready to the Rapture? No. The church went back to denomination around languages, as that languages are a sign of the Holy Spirit residing in the believer, that it is not like this (1 Corinthians 12:30; and chapter 13, Etc.). Then and, being that God must have a church without spot or wrinkle, He sent William Branham and His Prophet and, His Message, restored the faith of the children to the Pentecostal fathers (Malachi 4:5-6), as He promised in Joel 2.
Finally, brother Erick, I hope you do not judge brother Branham as your church or some other minister said, but judge him by the Bible, that is healthy. Amen.

Whenever I hear brother Branham’s testimony and read of the great things God did through him, I start to cry. I shed tears for two reasons. First, because our God is so Good to show love upon humans, to show mercy, and to prove that He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. But the second reason I weep is because brother Branham went so far astray from his original calling, and I wonder why he had to mess up so badly that God had to take him away by death.
Read the angel’s commission in “William Branham: A Man Sent From God”, published by William Branham in 1950. The angel said that God gave him the two signs (healing and discernment by vision) so that the world would believe on Jesus Christ. He also came to unify the Christians around the world, regardless of denomination or church.
At the end of Branham’s life, that’s not what happened. Read “Exposition of the Seven Church Ages,” where it is clear that the true evidence of the Holy Spirit is believing in Branham as the Voice of God. Branham ended up teaching people to believe in *him* as Elijah (Malachi 4), the Angel (Revelation 3), and the Son of Man (Luke 17). The Bible says that the evidence of having the Holy Spirit is love and keeping the commandments of Jesus (read 1 John, all of it), but Branham taught that the evidence of having the Holy Spirit was believing in Branham as the one person to set the church straight. He calls himself the “last prophet.” Though Branham preached strong against Catholicism, he wound up making himself just like the Pope, so that all true Christians had to believe in Branham’s anointing and because he taught that to reject Branham’s authority is to reject God.
The second thing that the Angel told him in 1946 (recorded in “William Branham: A Man Sent from God”) is that Branham was to unify (bring together) all true Christians, regardless of denomination or creed. If you listen to any tape from 1946 to 1949, you’ll see that he did that. Branham didn’t care if you were oneness, threeness or fiveness, so long as you loved Jesus Christ. He said, “let the other fellow believe what he wants to about it” and there was unity in the Body as all Christians came together.
Listen to the tapes from 1963 to 1965, and it’s a different story. Branham preached against the denominations, a “come out from among them” message, which was not like what he was originally sent to do. Instead of unifying the Body of Christ, he began to deny every other Christian group (“harlot daughters of the Catholic church”), and even spoke against Pentecostals. The early Branham had men that he took advice from and had respect for: Jack Coe, Gordon Lindsay, F.F. Bosworth, Ern Baxter.
Branham at the end of his life had nobody who could be his peer, his equal, or his brother on an equal footing. Branham had to be above them, over them, do something so great they couldn’t do. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to whomever He will, but brother Branham wanted only the best gifts for himself. Branham had a gift of healing in 1946 and it was okay for other men to have the same gift, also (like Oral Roberts). But if you listen to the tapes from the end of his life, he was always COMPLAINING of “carnal impersonators” who had a gift like his. He didn’t want anyone else to do the same thing.
Pay attention to what the “tent vision” was all about. Branham saw himself in a vision with a unique gift that NOBODY could copy or “impersonate”. People could come out of a little room (in the vision) and only Branham would be the one to heal them (through Jesus, of course), but no other person on earth would be able to copy it. Where is that in Scripture?
When Jesus told the disciples to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons, where did He ever say that only one person at one time can do this? If Jesus is the same “yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb 13:8), then this gift should be to all people, not limited to just one man.
The water baptism and Oneness issues are not the real problem. Even tongues is not the real problem. The real problem with Branham (and maybe the reason he died before his time) is spreading false doctrine. I will name three: (1) Jesus will probably return in 1977, (2) Eve had sex with an animal 10 feet tall, and then had sex with Adam, (3) women cutting their hair is biblical grounds for divorce.
Jesus did not return by 1977, but Branham had lots of people believing that he would. And Billy Paul is now an “old man”—there aren’t any sharks swimming where Los Angeles used to be (read “Acts of the Prophet”). According to the Bible, a false prophet is someone who speaks in the name of the Lord, and who teaches false doctrine or predicts something that does not come to pass.
Eve did not have “sexual intercourse” with an animal that looked human. Branham said it was “10 foot tall, broad shoulders” and it was “pure animal” between a chimpanzee and a man, but closer to a man. Having sex with an animal is bestiality, and according to the Bible, both Eve and the Serpent should have DIED FOR THIS SIN, if it had occurred. The serpent’s seed doctrine is totally false and it is an imagination out of a mind fixated on sex.
Third, Branham constantly said that if a woman cut or “bobbed” her hair, she dishonored her husband, and her husband had a right to divorce her according to the Bible. The Bible says that the grounds for divorce is “adultery” (Matt 19), and cutting your hair is not adultery. Jesus was talking about real adultery, literal adultery, not about getting a haircut.
As I said, I still grieve for brother Branham, because he wanted the glory for himself, the best gifts for himself and nobody else, and all the authority for himself. He strayed from the original commission which was to bring people to Jesus Christ, and to bring the Body of Christ together without division. Now, what has happened is just one more division: The Message Churches are divided against everybody else.

Dear Brothers & Sisters
I have independently looked at the teachings Of Brother Branham.
In one of his teachings he prayed that his mistakes would not become a stumbling block but urged us to learn from his mistakes.
I cannot see anything wrong he said or did. Concerning prophecy, If Jesus Christ said he was coming in 1977 then somebody prayed you know God answers prayer. Have we not been told in the parables that the Master delayed?
Concerning prophecies of destruction do you not know He is a God Of mercy? Did God not send Jonah to say He would destroy Ninevah but repented when people repented? Before you accuse the prophet make sure you know your Bible.
Look at his accusers? What did they really accomplish? Busy making a merchandise of the gospel, doing the very things brother Branham warned about. Some are even into cults. In our generation there was no greater prophet, before you criticize him show us a bit of your own anointing?
Though we go to a different fellowships God willing let us continue from where he left.
A few days before brother Branham died he asked God to take him away from this evil generation and closed the meeting with the song Till We Meet At Jesus Feet, his final service was The Communion, so was Jesus too.
This is a prophet who knew God was calling him home and he had finished his work. Kenneth Hagin criticised William Branham for dying in a car accident, he himself died of disease. It’s all death isn’t it?

Dear BRIAN CHIYAMA
I would like to clarify that Brother Hagin never criticized Branham, but just explained the consequences of moving out of one’s personal office. No wonder even in his book he did not mention the name, just in case people would read it wrong. Your analysis of branham dying in a car accident and Hagin dying with a sickness can never be a good proof or a basis of being right or wrong. Elisha was a prophet, who condemmed other false prophet yet he fell sick and died. That would not mean that he was wrong. You say that you cannot see anything wrong with what he did or said. What about Eve sleeping with a snake, where is that in the scripture? to say that someone could have prayed for Jesus not to return is also an unbiblical statement. The Bible itself never teaches us that we can postpone the coming of Jesus, we are just told that we pray that His coming be not when we are inactive. the warning in the Bible is that we should be ready as He comes as a thief in the night. The Word reveals to us that none of us knows of Jesus coming. Then you say that you cannot see anything wrong with that prophecy of Him coming in 1977. My brother, I believe that your love for the man of God has clouded your judgement. I personally love Brother Branham, I have studied his materials, and I am grateful for the gift that God gave him, but I cannot accept all his teachings. Indeed all of us are wrong one way or the other, yet not all of us go to as far as pronouncing heretical statements and schocking doctrines. To make me clear with you here: I believe that Brother Branham was a man sent from God, yet being sent by God does not guarantee that one would deliver the message he was sent with. Atmost, I believe that we should all pray to God to help us not be divided by issues that do not matter. But that we pray that the manifestation of the Holy Ghost be evident in each of us as we grow spiritually. love you my brother.

I appreciate your comments. God has been gracious to me and is raising me up for a great assignment. When you hear of me I do not want you to stumble because of my comments.I neither totally agree with William Branham nor with Kenneth Hagin. They both had their flaws as men. Whatever happenned in the garden of Eden remains a mystery, There is no man of God who has actually managed to tell us about the fruit, what it actually was. Brother Branham attempted and supported his argument. Others have criticized him but not told us what it actually is. I PERSONALLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE FRUIT WAS. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST ANYONE IN THIS MATTER IN CASE THEY MIGHT BE RIGHT.
I am therefore neutral about this matter because as we know the serpent had legs before God judged it. Only God really knows what transpired in the garden. I will not be asking Him till we get to heaven.
ABOUT KENNETH HAGIN I INITIALLY SUPPORTED HIS MINISTRY TILL GOD TOLD ME IT WAS WRONG TO SELL BOOKS, CD’S AND TAPES. I feel he peddled the Word of God. Brother Branham never sold any of his materials when he was alive nor solicited funds by crafty means.
Brother Branham never claimed to be a teacher. You cannot be a prophet without explaining using scripture what God is saying.
I BELIEVE WE HAVE ALL GONE ASTRAY AND I AM PRAYING TO GOD TO HELP US FIND THE WAY BACK.
On Jesus Coming, it is possible to delay His coming because God is not willing for any to perish and after all “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVE”, God is merciful and mercy is about asking God for another chance. Why did the parable say “the master delayed”, somebody must have prayed.
I have many examples of prophecies given in the bible which God retracted. Prophecy is conditional and prayer has the power to change, delay or cancel prophecy. Look at Isaiah 38, about Hezekiah, God added more years. What If jesus wanted to return in 1977 then someone asked for more time for the sake of the people, It is God Who has the right to do whatever He desires.
EQUALLY THAT 1977 PROPHECY MIGHT BE A MISTAKE AND HUMAN ERROR. But I do not know unless God reveals.
Man is man and I never support any prophet or man of God 100% lest I share in their sins. ONLY JESUS GETS 100 PERCENT SUBMISSION FROM ME.
In conclusion you and I agree but were saying the same things from different angles.

Because of the heresy that he did indeed teach, much of the church has discounted the true anointing that was on him. The lesson here is that God will use imperfect individuals in amazing ways, but He will not tolerate our foolishness forever. Branham got into trouble because he decided to take on a role that God had not given him. I think that is called presumption.
The other area where Branham got into trouble was the fact that his followers began to idolize him. Shortly before his death he spoke of this to Paul Cain, and told Brother Cain that if his followers continued to do that, the Lord was going to take him home.
The church has good reason to fear the level of anointing that people like William Branham and AA Allen walked in. We are so immature and our character so carnal that we stand in danger of the anointing destroying us. We have adopted the world’s superstar mentality and treat anointed brothers and sisters in a worldly way, and we stand in great danger of committing the sin of idolatry every time the Lord puts His anointing on an individual life.

Beloved brother, it would be convenient that you declare what is the heretical teaching of Brother Branham and that, according to you, much of the church question the anointing what was upon him. And I know that some idolize Brother Branham (same thing happened in my country, Peru), he knew that and it caused him discomfort while, for some time, he decided to leave the field. But that happened with Peter in Acts 10:25-26, with Paul and Barnabas in Acts 14:11-15, and John in Revelations 19:10, 22:8-9, but these brothers, like brother Branham, corrected this error: Brother Branham always guided the people to God and His Word because, as he said in many sermons, God is His Word (John 1:1). You know that in any revival there are wheat and tares, the sons of God and sons of the devil, and on both the Holy Spirit falls to anoint them, but, even when the Holy Spirit may fall on a tares, that experience does not convert it in wheat; remains tares. The new birth is for the children of God predestined to be manifested as sons of God in every age the Church.
You need not fear the mistake or false anointing, because God has given us His Word to be able to discern right from wrong. The Lord Jesus said, “Which of you fathers, if your are asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” In that statement there is security and no reason to fear. Take away fear and ask God for the Holy Spirit, if you really want in your life, your heart, and He will give you, to guide you in His perfect and mature perfect will, in His Word.

. soon my precious brother we’ll take that rapture when the last bride recognizes what she is. We are feminish in design but masculent in spirit! praise be to our LORD JESUS CHRIST! forgive my grammar and spelling, but know that you will be in my prayers and I love you brother. The lonely God desired multiplication of himself , he had angels that worshipped him day and night singing HOLY HOLY HOLY unto the lord thy God! but yet he was alone…God hates sin but loves a sinner! HE became a sinner, so that we could become a SON! There is only room for you and him at the top of that pyramid. thats why no church or cold creed, or name on a book will get you there ! you must have the WORD and believe in this last day message of william branham! That + this will bring forth the rapturing faith.
and for all you people who judged this great man of God which I believe to be the oncomer , he IS the BREACH! Just as moses got to see the promise land , so did brother branham see the bride but because he lost the feeling for the people , he didn’t get to cross over and rapture. In such dark days as we live in… you unbelievers better hold to this man’s message! for it’s the only chance you got! get in your bible and GET IN THIS MESSAGE OR WOE UNTO YOU!

Beloved brother(s), I believe that William Branham in His early days lived the Word of God in a pure way. Even more then you could imagine and expected from the ministers in the Body of Christ nowadays. There are only a few things that keeps me busy all the time. The first thing is the doctrine of the serpent seed. The Lord didn’t convince me in my heart till this day, that Branham received that source from Him. When I’m studying the scriptures, I’m also not so convinced about that. The second thing is the car accident that gets him killed. God promised us to satisfy us with a long and fruitful life. When we stick with him and trust in Him He will be our refuge and preserve us against the evil one. William Branham died way too young. Although he was killed in his mid fifties, I still believe He was the Lord’s anointed.

I am convinced that, despite Branham’s error, there is much to be learned from his life… including such error. The fruit of his ministry was amazing, if you ever read about his South African trip alone it staggers the mind in regards to the number of conversions to Christ that accompanied the testimony of healing in Jesus’ name.

Of course there are many prophets as well as apostles today, but like in the OT and the New, most of them are false prophets. The Lord had me study Branham’s life for 5 years back in 1999; when people say, “He missed it” I always respond that “he did not.” I believe he was wrong in some areas but we are all wrong in some areas of doctrine.
But the Spirit showed me many years ago that you “never judge a ministry by how big it is, how much money they have …”, etc. but “you only judge it by the anointing.” Brother Branham had that anointing so I believe it’s never wise to “speak against God’s anointed.”

Brother Buford, I don’t believe the messages are dead no more than the messages are dead from all the other prophets of old. I do believe that we need God fearing, Bible studying pastors etc… to bring it up to date for our day. Exampel if Brother Branham was here he would blast the compter more than the tv myself I believe theirs good on both. I think he was a restoring Prophet, did not bring nothing new but tied up lose ends. As he said I preached what paul preached and I don’t believe Paul’s message is dead. God bless all, Eugene
I know a great preacher locally that is evidently trying to pick up (doctrinally) where Branham left off. Sad, because he is a great preacher in his own right…without the Branham heresy.
May we learn to pick the good fruit and leave the heresy behind!

I really believe that Paul Cain has the same anointing as William Branham. Same supernatural beginnings, Same type of gift, same level of gift, and same degree impact to the church in their heydeys.
The clip you are showing is from the early branham days. In the later years it seems the gift is still there, but the intensity is not. So as I suggested this post http://churchrevolution.wordpress.com/2007/07/01/return-of-the-thunder/ Cain may yet have a role to play in reigniting a new revival. I think he’d need to be reformed/rehabilitated a bit more, but I believe it could happen because I know for a fact that he longs for the old days even more than the rest of us because he lived it. What is missing is not the man it’s the wine skin. Where will God pour out this kind of fire?
When the Charismatics got a little bit, they started barking like dogs, and when the AG got a little bit they turned it into a denominational event. What will we do?

I have seen Paul Cain operate in that level of accuracy, but that was before he decided to crash and burn.
I have heard him minister since his restoration and I am generally very pleased with what I have seen in him as far as the genuine fruits of repentance. There is a humility in the man that is refreshing.
Rick Joyner has always maintained that we have not seen Paul Cain walk in the fullness of what God has for him. I hope that he will soon enter into that.

I agree with everyone else here. We need to reject the error but embrace the gift. We don’t reject Samson or David, we glorify God for what He did through these people and try not to make the same mistakes they did.
btw. Did Paul Cain ever walk in the healing anointing that Branham did? Signs have to point to something. What excited me about this particular clip was the lack of fanfare regarding the healing. The fact that Branham had the words of knowledge were proof that “Jesus the Healer” was present and that the woman was healed.
That level of anointing is amazing. Thats what I long for the church to walk in. Thats what I long to walk in.

Short answer about Cain is yes. One of the most dramatic testimonies I’ve ever heard was about when he was in a meeting at the height of the Jesus People movement and there was a guy there in a wheelchair who had lost not only his physical faculties but also his mental capacity. He was basically a vegetable. During the meeting Cain called him out and said “Brian, God gives you a new Brain” He leapt out of the chair, came down front, and started playing the piano (he had been a classical pianist before the accident). Many many others have been healed of other things like cancer, heart conditions, etc.
Branham and Cain are obiously different men ministering in a different time now, but in terms of level and type of anointing, I personally see them as the same. Because of the fallout from the Latter Rain, Cain hasn’t been welcomed among the Pentecostals like Branham was for a time, and so he generally hangs out with the Charismatics, often in flighty settings. He uses his gift sporadically and chats a lot. I’d love to see him in a context with a more serious crowd, and using his gift “full on”

A man that Jesus spoke of personally in the Bible had false teaching?? Are you joking?? The greatest miracle revival that ever came to the earth, vindicated by God & YOU think that God let him err in his teachings? Blasphemy. You should know your Bible better than that. You know you should be careful about calling Brother Branham’s teaching an error. The same thing was said about Noah and Moses, and what happened to the people? They all died, except for those that believed the message of the prophet. There is a reason that Christ says as it was in the day of Noah so shall it be when the son of man is revealed.

Bro. Branham was a bit ahead of my time and I did not know him but know many ministers who did and even some that he dedicated their churches, like Brother Littlefield of Cleveland, TN, who brought Bro. Norvel Hayes back to the Lord and influenced his life greatly. Brother Littlefield told me some interesting things about Branham in the ’80s that contradicted what was being taught about NT prophets and because I was studying the prophet’s office from 1980-1985 I was intrigued by Bro. Littlefield’s statement that Bro. Branham “never missed it.” That should be proof, along with the anointing, that Bro. Branham was a prophet sent by God; it just was before the birthing of the prophetic movement by the Lord to restore the office of prophet in 1988 so it was not “popular” to call oneself a prophet. As to remarks that Bro. Branham never called himself a prophet, that is refuted in his messages and I’ve listened to all available when the Lord had me study his life.
I worked with Bro. John Osteen in the late ’70s and ’80s and through him met Bro. Hagin, T.L. Osborn and others. Bro. Hagin’s prophecy that people refer to called Branham a prophet and by his gifting it’s obvious that he was a prophet.

It is plain to see the love of God and personal insight into the word through your responses. I have been in a number of Paul Cain’s services and met with him in person several times many years ago and wish him nothing but the best. I know there are some who have forsaken him but I know that he is part of the body of Christ. As such I love him and all I have wanted from him and for him is repentance forgiveness healing and restoration.
I have read that there is controversy about brother Branham’s doctrines. At this time I have only listened to three of his messages. The first message I listened to was his sermon on marriage and divorce. In that sermon he plainly stated that he believed he would be in heaven with his dead mother soon in the presence of Jesus. He knew God was going to take him; there is no doubt. Also there was a scriptural passage he was reading out of and he said several times something like “I wish I tell you what the Lord told me He really said hear but I can’t recon it with the scripture.” At the time no one knew that, that verse was changed in the textus receptus by Erasmus before it was used for the translation if the King James and all modern translations until 2004. The manuscripts Erasmus use to make the textus receptus with were not available for public view until then and yet Branham under the anointing of the Holy Spirit know it way back then. I don’t consider myself to be an expert on church history or on Branham but that much I know about the man. People may say he was not a very good teacher. Even so I heard a lot of truth in the three messages I listened to. I would say whether he was a good teacher or not he got his point across and he know God in a way that most have not.

Branham was used of God in his day. Today God will use others, many, many others. By His Spirit He is calling/raising up Apostles Prophets Evangelists Pastors and Teachers (many of the 1st two in obscurity) for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry. The Spirit and the Bride are saying “Wake up and shake yourselves for the Bride Groom cometh.” The time is short and the bride needs Apostles and Prophets as much as any of the other gifts to prepare her and God knows it. Its all in His plan. The bride cannot make herself ready with out them because they are part of the body too. Without them the body would not be perfect/whole/complete and would not be a suitable bride. Today He is pouring out His Love upon them so that they will not only know that He can do what He is telling them. But so they will know He will surely do it knowing both His mind and His heart so that they will be full of faith which works by Love. So that they will also be constrained by His Love to separate themselves from all that is in the world with the sin and the lusts there of. So that they will be willing to go where He sends them speak what He tells them and do what He tells them no matter what the price. The standard is high. You must be willing to leave everything. Everything everyone take up your cross and follow Jesus. Not because it would be cool awesome but because of Love. I hope you will not be offended by my saying this but; I would that you would be so captivated by His Love that you would be willing to leave everything forsaking all just to follow Him. Not the kind of dictionary love but the Love of God that gives us understanding the kind of Love that comes from God and that we return to HIM. Those who minister must have it for without it they will not be willing or able to do the ministry that God has planned for these last days. For without it they will not Love the body as Christ Loves the Church. You see if we Love Him we will Love His body and minister to His body. If we don’t Love Him we won’t be able to minister unto His body and teach and train and perfect her for the work of the ministry. There are so many things He wants to teach us by His Spirit but the receiving and keeping/walking in His love so that we can know that He Loves us and so we can Love Him/His body back is the first. Through the process we learn His ways and all of His ways are Love.
My best advice to you if you are hungry. I will do my best to practical but by the worlds standards its radical.
Separate yourself form the world and the lusts there of. Turn off the TV the radio the mp3 player put down the news paper and all other distractions that you possibly can. Fast and pray and when you are in His presence just abide there. Thank Him for all He has done for you. Tell Him how thankful you are and how much you Love Him again and again and again seeking His face and not His hand as a Lover does the one who He loves. If you ask Him for anything let it be to know Him to know His heart to know His ways and just rejoice in His presence. Just abide there and do whatever you have to do to maintain His presence at all times. Become worship, become praise. My son used to say goodnight, don’t forget to pray until I told him I started praying twenty five years ago and I have never stopped. I also started worshiping twenty five years ago and never stopped. Always praying under my breath and worshiping with the understanding and with the Spirit. Don’t tell people you are fasting and praying just do it. At the same time pay attention to the Holy Spirit and His conviction so that you can keep your marriage garments white so that you can have confidence before God. Of course all of this assumes you are saved and thus have some spiritual understanding/sense of what all of this means. For without it this is all just words.

The anointing is not a physiological thing it’s a spiritual thing. I understand that, that may be what you meant but so many walk in error when it comes to this that I though it should be pointed out.
We are to walk in the Spirit not in the flesh anointed or not. I understand that you recognize this by your post. However the anointing is not to stimulate our mind. We are to put down anything in our minds casting down any vain imagination that exalts itself against the knowing of God. That’s whether it appears good or bad.
The anointing is rather more like an increase of the sensing of His presence and also an increase of His presence of Him who is not seen. This is so we can more clearly hear His voice and sense His will and more easily abide in and be inspired by His Spirit. For we dwell in these earthen vessels and they get weak and sick and tired and what we receive in the Spirit is still interpreted by these puny brains. When God calls us to walk with Him in a deeper way where others are dependant upon us we need more of His presence more of His Love more of His anointing more of Jesus in our lives. Not that we don’t all need that but the anointing increases our consistency because of the increased intensity and sensitivity and in some cases has remained even though rebellion because once received the giftings and callings of God are without repentance.
I actually wrote three more pages before I realized I was preaching and then I went back and shorted everything to the barest of minimums. Actually I knew I was preaching but decided to test the water before jumping all the way in. Not that preaching is a bad thing but some even in the church do not like it. If I offended any please disregard what I said as it was not my intention to do so.

I guess Moses wasn’t really who the Bible says he was either, because he stuttered so badly he had to have an interpreter. Unless you understand the ending age of the Old Testament prophets, you will never understand William Branham’s end time ministry as the 7th Church Age messenger as declared in the book of Revelation.

I have very much been a Message Believer in the past, believing in William Branham as God’s Elijah prophet without idolizing him. However, what he said about men having a right to divorce women for cutting their hair still throws me off. Branham said himself that a false prophet is false if wrong in just one area of doctrine. I am often unsure how to deal with this though most of his doctrine seems very Scriptural. Nor do I understand how Adam took and ate of the fruit only spiritually while Eve ate of it sexually and spiritually. I suppose I should go only to God on this matter. Most important for us in this day is to bear fruit, but part of the Gospel is to let no man deceive us. Lastly, can someone please e-mail me some info on the ministry of Paul Cain? The Word said from Above, “This is my beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased. Hear ye HIM.” (emphasis mine, of course). The ultimate submission to God requires this whether we have been sent our last Church Age Messenger or not. We must always go back to the Word.

I would advise everyone to really seek the LORD, about GOD’S PROPHET, William Branham. It’s amazing how people want to criticize the prophet and the WORD. I started going to the mountains, praying and seeking the LORD, about this. One day, I was laying in the back of my pickup truck, reading the BIBLE. There were birds all around, just got done listening to a great message by bro Branham. I asked GOD, was he your prophet. I said LORD, just show me a sign, birds whistling everywhere in the trees. I noticed one bird that would make one distinct sound or chirp. I said, LORD let that bird fly over me, and sing to the top of its voice. Then I started feeling bad, because of the scriptures, BLESSED ARE THEY THAT HAVE NOT SEEN AND BELEIVE. I said LORD I’ll always beleive that this message was from YOU. Then all of the sudden, while laying on my back, that little bird came flying over me singing as loud as it could. Then the clouds above rolled back into one cloud, and formed the same face, or picture of bro Branham with the PILLAR OF FIRE, above his head. I closed my eyes, rubbed thim, and thought well I’m seeing things. When I reopened my eyes, the face was even brighter and clearer than before, and that little bird wouldn’t quit singing. Oh, how I felt his presence, I got off my truck and fell to my knees, and cried like a baby. This is my testimony, HE is the same yesterday, today and forever. This MESSAGE was from GOD. Be sincere and pray and open your heart, and I beleive GOD will show you the GODHEAD, SERPENT SEED, AND BABTISM. These things are hid from the wise and prudent and revealed to babes, such as would learn. I beleive if you listen to the messages, study your BIBLE, and live the way bro Branham said, we will see him over there with our LORD. GOD BLESS…

Wow. That is a beautiful testimony. Bro. Branham was misunderstood by many not because of his gift but because of his teachings. Jesus said that a prophet is never welcomed in his own country. So it was with Bro.Branham. I am just 16 years old but have a calling to preach the Gospel and the Message that Bro.Branham brought was an anointed and prophetic one.

I am on no way criticizing the prophet. I am only repeating his own words that he made mistakes. If you listen to every sermon that he gave, you will find occasional contradictions and misinterpretations. If Brother Branham didn’t claim infallibility, why should we claim that he was infallible in what he said? The Bible says that every man’s work will be tried- yet so as by fire. If even a prophet occasionally speaks in error, he will be chastised, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t God’s prophet. For one, I have not seen to this day how a man has Scriptural righs to divorce his wife for cutting her hair. It has been explained to me why, but the explanation does not clear up this idea that Bro.Branham spoke of.

To all, I believe that Brother Branham is the prophet for this generation. I do not believe that their are more prophets to come. I may be wrong but, I can not find where their was more than one anointed prophet on earth at a time ( please show me so I can be corrected ). God is not the author of confusion, if their was more than one they would dissagree as Peter and Paul did on the eating of unclean meets.
Brother Branham stated not to put trust in the messenger but the message and his message was christ in you the hope of glory. He stated that if you read the entire bible and could not see Jesus Christ you needed to read it again.
I think one of the biggest problem with followers of this message (whicH I am) they try to sift thru it and make their own stab at what he said. I can listen to a tape of Brother Branham and I enjoy it very much but I am blessed with a pastor who studies the message and the bible. He can listen to the tapes and read bible and glean things I did not see. For example go do a study on Caleb he was the head of the tribe of Judah He was a Kenezite (Joshua 14:6). He was from one of the nation’s that Israel was to destory his name meant gentile dog but he was the head of the tribe of Judah the tribe that Jesus came from. I would never had notice that if it was not for my pastor studing and seaking the mind of God. Brother Branham said that this message would be taken by pastors till the coming of the LORD. What I am saying if your not a God called pastor You wil not be able to understand or glean what he can.The bible says (1 Corinthians 1:21) that it pleased God thru the foolishness of preaching to save them that would believe. To many does not have a god called pastor.
I read a few comments about Brother Branham (1) That he prophesied that the end would be in 1977. The truth is and you can look it up he was asked a question how much time was left he stated that he could not see it going past 1977. (2)The egg shaped car, do a search on your computer about 2 years ago a car egg shaped self driven thru the use of magnets in the pavement in conjunction wit proximity switches.It is not profected yet now they are experencing controlling them by the use of the gps system keep in mind that it took 400 years for a virgin will bare a child and it happen it has only been 44 years since Brother Branham died. (3) I believe if he said Callifornia will fall into the ocean it will.(4)The bible does state that the womans hair is her golry and that she is under the subjection of her husban If you read in the book of Ester you will see where the King put his wife away because he had a feast and requested his wife to come to him and show her beauty to his guest and she would not so he put her away. The problem with the church (the body or bride of Christ) does not want to come under the subjection of her (LORD/ Bride groom) Jesus Christ.Brother Branham said if you want to see the condition of the church to look at the women in the church.(5) Russia, Brother Branham said not to worry about the iron curtain but to worry about the purple curtain which is the calothic church neither are the anti christ. In Revelations chapter 13 he stated that the wounded beast was the Catholic church and the other beast was America this beast America will give back her power. Brother Branham stated that Russia would be used to destory both. The anti christ is among you in your own church. The bible says that the anti christ would deceive the elect if possible and Russia or the Calothic church are deceiving anyone. Russia has not failed. Brother Branham said to watch Russia when she goes for the oil. If you do a web search on Russia/oil you willfind out that she has just finished a oil pipe line to her ports. On January 15 she will start delivering oil to China and India it is projected that she will be suppllying 14% of the worlds oil this alone will make her a supper power in the world agian.
Finaly, I do belive he was the messenger for this church age. I do not believe their are any more prophets to come.I hear some of you say he was a porphet but he got off toward the end who are we to judge God’s prophet just because he says somthing we do not want to hear. Rember when Jesus Was here in his first coming the most religious church following Moses laws to the T but they missed him. I put Brother Branham where he belongs he was a porphet the messenger for this age a servent of God. God used him to bring me a message Malachi 4:5 (behold I send you) he did not bring me anyting new he just tied up the lose end thru the Revelation of Jesus Christ he was a servant of God our Brother. Carl, I do believe he was a prophet. A prophet is for this and all generation’s. I also believe Brother Branham was the final messenger for the final church age. If you look at Moses,Paul,Noah,Isaiah and so on they where prophets for their time. Noah preaching a flood would do no good now,Moses parting the red sea is not for this day. For this church age we needed a restoring prophet, not one to bring any thing new but to tie up the lose ends.Unless another prophet comes up which I do not think will happen, I believe he was the messenger for this church age.
Your question on the Anointing. I believe the anointing was passed on to the ministers that folled the message. Let me clear up some thing first. I do not believe all message church’s are in the will of God.I believe in the five fold ministry Ephhesians 4:11 if you will notice before each it says he gave some allthough Bro. Branham was not in mine our your generation their was still a teacher, pastor or an evangelists to bring to you in a updated message not different but for the time you live in. You can not be perfected (matured not sinless) by a MP3 player.When he said I’ll ride this trail agian Ibelive that was Christ in him speaking. The best way to say where the anointing went is with this example. Moses the prophet that brought the pepole out of Egypt the messenger for that age died (went to heaven) did not make it to the promise land. Moses time was full of signs and miracles. Read Joshua. Joshua a type of the holy ghost he himself did not do the miracles but he knew what to tell them to do. Read chapter 3 Joshua. Johua told the people to look upon the ARK (the message of that day) and the priest (the pastors of that day) as soon as the prist feet touched the water the Jordan it was cut of. So I believe that the anointing went on to the Men who will put the message on their sholders and bring it to you no matter if you like it or not. Lastly, I would add and say that the message of william Branham was not for anyone but for the fanatics so called Branhamites. I say “so called” because I think if indeed they were fanatics, then I am afraid I am one of then. Being the chiefest of sinners, I am so glad that in 1909, a little boy was born out of Kentucky. Pope John Paul’s messages are best for certain people. This message is not mins-meat. It will chock everyone else to death unless you are destined for this message.(Plain and simple) I challenge anyone to please show me one thing that Brother Branham taught wrong, and contrary to the spirit of God. NOT ONE. Please do not quote 1948(white horse rider), MLK leading black people to slaughter, or 1977 coming of the Lord. I happen to know all these a lot better than most people.
It is the so called wrong things that they say Bro Branham taught that to me, proves he was a man sent from God with a message for the last church age. I am not surprised that those that grew up with Moses had had a hard time believing he was a prophet. Equally, those that saw the Lord grow us from a small boy on this side of eternity, thought it ludicrous that any should consider him a god.
I always take my hat off to people that walked with Brother Branham, preached alongside him, and yet finally submitted to his ministry. God has a very special reason for Bro BUFORD DOWELL in witnessing the things he saw and heard with his own ears. Carl, a generation is not the mathematical 30 years as we are taught in school. If you have a chance to read “Church Ages” by Brother Branham, it will give you the generational dispensations as stated in the book of Revelations. It is in the Last church age “Laodicea” that both you and I fall into, will a whole group of people from about 1906 thereabout. If this was my forum, I would explain the types as explained in the book of Revelations.
Now let me add and say that.. If Brother Branham had taught anything other than that, which is already in the bible.. then Paul says Galatians 1:8 “..let him be accursed..”
To those that remember the quote from Bro Branham “I preached what Paul Preached” God never changes his standard…no not ever. If The creator of the universe himself, overcame by his own word spoken through his prophets when he was tempted.. he will not suffer us to teach from our own understanding.. but ONLY from the word of God. All things that Brother Branham taught including his so called “false doctrines” strangely enough are ALL..EVERY ONE OF THEM..100% from the bible you have.
I challenge you to sturdy the scriptures and compare his teachings with the bible like I have since 1976.

Although Brother Branham himself admitted that he made mistakes, many people treat it as a stumblingblock or criticism for anyone today to state that he made mistakes although we can say that Peter, Paul, John, Old Testament prophets, etc, made mistakes and mention what they were without being said to criticize these men of God. Whether one believes William Branham to be the final Church Age messenger or not, it should be accepted that NO MAN is perfect and NO MAN is THE WORD OF GOD. Did he not teach the Seals and Church Ages differently in his earlier years of ministry? And is there any simple Biblical proof that a man can divorce his wife for cutting her hair? I have had one example provided in the book of Esther and an explanation that a woman cutting her hair is a sign of adultery, but these do not show that a man can by the Word divorce her for cutting her hair. I neither criticize nor blaspheme here. I simply state facts. God bless all who read this.

Yes, I agree you can take his message and make it say what you want to by putting quotes where they don’t belong. And yes he made mistakes, Brother Branham walked in the progression of light as Christ reveled it to him. I do not understand abuot cutting hair, it does say her hair is her glory / covering ( which short hair could not be used as a covering). I do know that if my wife cut her hair I would be hurt being that I think my wife is beautifull wit long hair however I would not divorce her for it. I did put the book of Ester as an example of a man putting his wife away. Agian I don’t understand maybe she was scared to get in front of the people but it is in the bible. I do believe he made mistakes but as a common man besides taking it back to the bible I have to re lie on my pastor. We know what Brother Branham says about hair. We know that the bible says. Yes, he made mistake’s if he was the prophet ( I believe he was ) how do you make the the choice. Do you take his word or do you make your own interpretation and hope your right. Rember as long as Jesus was doing the fishes and loafs people where happy but when he started preaching doctrian changing from what they where used to they did not agree some wanted to kill him other just left. Jesus said that a man is only to divorce a woman if she commits adultery. That’s the best I can give from the Word. I must continue to follow the Word and what it says. I am aware that her hair is her covering and her glory, but this does not appear in any way to tie in with a reason for divorce.

Yeshua said the only reason was “except for fornication”, which may have meant intercourse with another man before marriage, or during the betrothal period (when she could be put away for that also), or perhaps even finding out after the marriage that the woman had been unfaithful and lied about her purity. If the man divorces the woman, he can not remarry or he is committing adultery. Neither can she. According to Yeshua, not William Branham.

One thing I have noted is a propensity by certain individuals to look for errors in Bro. Branham’s teachings. I choose to look at it differently – what about his teachings was right? And If he really was wrong, let us not show disrespect [it isn't Christian to begin with - remember the speck in your bro's eye?], instead show us who is the real Malachi 4:5 who never made any mistake. If you can’t show me who is the forerunner of Christ’s second coming, I don’t see why you should show disrespect to Bro. Branham. Please pardon me if those words hurt you.
I’d like to mention something else. Moses [a prophet even to Muslims] at one time married a non-Jew against God’s Word. Miriam and Aaron spoke against him [and their accusation was absolutely right]. God summoned them, gave them a lecture and Miriam left the presence of God a leper. Aaron’s sons started dying years later. Moral of the story: “touch not my anointed” no matter what. At Bro. Branham’s memorial service, Tommy Osborn, himself not a “Branhamite” talked of Jesus walking the streets of Phoenix in the man called William Branham. My parting question to everyone of us, myself included is: Do people see Christ in you as you go about your daily business? Do they confuse you with Christ because of the life that you live? Would Christ speak like we are doing, of His Father’s servants? If you must know, many people mistook William Marrion Branham for Jesus Christ because of the fruits that he bore. It shows me that he was grafted to the True Vine. Examine your own attitudes and words and judge for yourself – what fruits are you bringing forth?

Amen, Brother Simon He is the messanger for this church age. He is the forerunner Jesus Christ is comming. Many people say he brought something new, as he stated I preached what Paul preached. He was a restoring prophet nothing new but tied up all the lose ends. Thru christ revealed all the mystreies. Count yourself blessed Brother Simon for it is not ment for all to see. GOD bless you all

Brothers and sister, I want to say this, reasoning goes against faith. Unto those who are criticizing brother Branham, let me ask you a question. “Is salvation by grace or knowledge”. Show me a 100% percent man and I will tell you it is Jesus Christ and no one else. Moses spoke with God from mouth to mouth yet later disobeys God. Brethren, This is not the time to be critics, let move by the spirit of the message.
A brother said brother Branham was to unite all the churches, first of all, if brother Branham did not condermn denomination and speak again the catholic blindness, he will not be qualified to fufil the ministry of Elijah of which he did. Ecunemism is anti word, repent and come out from her. Rev 18.
Brother Branham is the voice crying behold the bridegroom cometh. Unto some,(the few wise,) they have their lights trimed and fedding on the revealed word. Supping with the Word groom, but unto the foolish virgins, their confusion left them no option but run through darkness to buy and oil (Holy Ghost). No wonder, God will tell them I don’t Know you; simply because they did not have any intimacy with the word groom.
Brother Branham, taught Acts 2:38 which is that said the Lord, the only baptism in the scripture. If you get there and receive the Holy Spirit, that is the earnest of your salvation. He the Holy Spirit will then lead your to all truth, and all you need to know to keep you healthy in Christ Jesus. Brother Branham pointed us to Christ, behold the bridegroom cometh, after that, his work is done.
