I guess the questions to really put an end to this would have been:

1) Did the church in question sell pumpkins BEFORE the week leading up until Halloween?

2) Did the church in question sell pumpkins AFTER Halloween?

That would distinguish between fall selling and Halloween selling.

Pumpkins are not evil. A church selling them in the week leading up to halloween is compromise. Not sure how a Christian could miss that.

Pumpkins are not halloween stuff. Pumpkins are used to bake pies, decorate for fall, make bread, etc. There is nothing “evil” about pumpkins.
