The New Civil Rights Movement–Living the Dream

On October 24, 2005, Rosa Parks, the mother of the civil rights movement in America, passed into glory. This voice of justice was a forerunner for a cause that is about to hit its second wave of importance and freedom in America.

In January of 2001, God spoke to me audibly as I watched a pastor on television who was addressing civil rights. The voice of God spoke during this time and said: “The issue of civil rights is one of the most precious issues in my heart.” I never knew the depth of Jesus’ heart on it until I again read His prayer in John 17:21: “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

He was speaking about this issue because this is something that He is going to invest Himself into throughout our nation. He wants to bring his virtue to empower great changes in the days ahead.

The Civil Rights Mantle Is Coming Upon Many In a Generation

As Rosa Parks passed away, I saw a mantle of authority that she wore begin to fall to the earth, knowing that a generation is called to rise up and grab hold of it. She sparked the civil rights movement through her simple act of defying an unrighteous act towards her and her race, and the nation exploded into debate, rage, sympathy, identification, pride, and love, all over this one woman’s bold act. That was just her beginning; just think about how awesome her life ended as she continued to be a trumpet of freedom for future generations.

It is no longer about black and white anymore in America, but every type of culture is at risk to be persecuted if there is not a deeper level of Kingdom value placed in the hearts of America. Some of this value is going to be birthed through further persecution that will be brought up into the public eye, but God is looking for Prophetic Civil Rights leaders who speak with wisdom and understanding (insert “those”) whose very lives are a bridge from one race and culture to another.

Nation Against Nation

Just like it says in Matthew 24:7: “Nation will rise up against nation. . . ”

Jesus prophesied about the (omit “the”) nations rising up against nations, but this isn’t just in the context of wars from one whole country to another; it is also a prophecy about one culture or ethnic group rising up against another within the same nation. God wants to give the keys of racial unity to a new breed of civil rights champions. He is about to release the next wave of righteousness on behalf of the racial issues.

I AM THE DREAM!

There is a fire on this generation participating with the civil rights. And they are not only going to declare justice, but they are going to look at the dreams dreamt by Martin Luther King and boldly declare, “I AM THE DREAM!”

Then we will have our next installment of dreamers who are exponentially more bold in their visions of what the future will hold for every tongue and tribe of people in this country. Martin Luther King and other great leaders in his generation caught the thief that was trying to divide and plunder, but Proverbs says when you catch the thief, he has to pay back seven times what he stole. I believe there is a generation who is about to enter into a manifold blessing from which the previous generation paved the way for.

The Black Culture of America Has An Opportunity to LIVE THE DREAM!

There are times of blessings coming specifically for the black culture of America, even in the day of adversity, but it is also much broader then this. I heard the Lord say, “Some of the African Americans are about to live the dream that Martin Luther King prophesied so many years ago.” Even more, He spoke, “Some of the greatest pictures of unification between races will happen in this generation, between white and black people. I will put unity on display; especially in efforts that My people partner with My agenda!”
