Reinhart Bonnke Impartation Breakfast
January 30th, 2008 by Carl Thomas. If you have a heart for souls, you cannot help but have respect for what Reinhart Bonnke has done. (If you are not familiar with his ministry, check out this link, it gives you a pretty good idea what he is doing.) So as ridiculous as it sounds, when I got a postcard that said that he was having a special “Impartation breakfast” three hours away at 7:45 a.m. on a Saturday morning for $35 I actually went for it. I knew that this was little more than star gazing but I really did not care. The flyer said that he was going to lay hands on everyone in attendance and I wanted him to lay hands on me, even if it cost $35.
We got to the meeting and had a pretty bad breakfast. There was a stage with a podium, a keyboard and a video screen and about 500 people. I was in a front row table which happened to be right next to Reinhart’s. I was joking that he kept looking at me declaring the anointing over me and my ministry. He seemed like a really friendly guy and this was not feeling like a sham to raise money.
First up was a guy that leads worship for Bonnke’s crusades. He sang “How great is our God” and the crowd half sang along with him until about half way through. At that point everyone in the room began to shout the lyrics because the anointing of God came crashing down in the room. I was overwhelmed. It did not build up, we were not coached into it, we were not whipped up into a frenzy. We just sand a song and an incredibly powerful anointing flooded the room. this was not the gentle breeze some feel. This was not the joy thing. This was that fear of the Lord, “My God You are awesome,” Jesus is Alive and sitting at the right hand of the Father presence.
Reinhart then got up and told of what God has charged him to do and said that it is the duty of wealthy Christian nations to support the work of the Gospel in poor nations. No manipulation. No curses. No promise of great wealth. Just a request to support the work he is doing.
Then he preached. And when I say preach, he preached! He preached the river of fire, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the need for deliverance ministry, and the validity of impartation. He stated several times that people would receive an impartation and that would multiply the baton given to him from the generation before him.
At the end, he climbed up a step ladder and had the people walk past him in two lines, one on each side. As people walked past him he would lay hands on their heads. I was in the third row of tables so I got to watch this a little while as people were prayed for. He was really praying and declaring things over people! Every now and then a person would cry out and a lady fell down but mostly people were walking through the line.
As I got up from my seat and began walking in line I began to get overwhelmed. I started to cry out of nowhere. Then I began to have a series of visions of the harvest. This increased as I moved forward in the line. As I walked forward I remember hearing Reinhart’s voice. I vaguely remember feeling him touch my head. The next thing I knew I felt my face hit the carpet. Shortly thereafter I heard someone say, “We got to get him out of here.” I felt a hand under each of my armpits and I was dragged about 20 feet where I laid for the better part of the next hour, intermittently bawling as I had continued visions of the harvest.
The next time I opened my eyes, the only people in the room were the people I came with and the hotel staff cleaning up after the meal.
For the first time in my life I had to be carried out of the room and placed in the back of my van. I was unable to move for almost two more hours.
All in all this was probably the best $35 I have ever spent!

Thank You for sharing your encounter. May God put “flesh” on you harvest vision and bring it to reality. Let the river of God flow over all the Earth.
Reinhart’s the real deal… now its time for you to watch and pray for the Lord to send out laborers. He will lead you, He will send you in His timing. It will be clear.
Grace, grace to your transition. Amen!
Carl, as I read your experience I can’t help but think that this is really significant, that the Lord is doing something new in you through this impartation. Grab ahold of it–there is a reason that there were 500 people there and you were the one who got whacked the hardest. Seek the Lord, find out what the Spirit is saying to you. Really. This is BIG.
Anyway, just my sense on this. Eat the chicken, spit out the bones (old prophetic word discernment proverb courtesy of the late John Wimber). ; )
Dear Carl, Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I would to God that we all had the same level of blessing you had. There is power in God, so may your Mission be exceedingly blessed! I am involved in spiritual warfare in Pittsburgh, and God has said, “Pittsburgh is My city. I will take it by storm.” It seems He has already taken you by storm, so, brother, go do the great and mighty things God has for you to do, because we are with you 100%!
