Personal Prayer Request

August 24th, 2006 by Carl Thomas.

My family is rapidly facing some pretty big decisions. We are in good health and my marriage is rock solid but we find ourselves in one of those seasons that we have no idea where God is at in a fairly signifigant part of our life.  As much as you pray and declare, there comes a time when you cannot let circumstances make decisions for you.  We are rapidly approaching that point.

I am not looking for a pep talk or condolences.  This morning I enquired if the Lord was still on the throne and I was assured that He is.  In that I am fulfilled.

Nevertheless, the planet continues to spin and the cycles of life march on and we have to make some decisions.  So to you my handful of people (or less) who read this blog and have endured this long into this post I ask this of you:

  1. Please pray that God would show up mightly in our circumstances
  2. That we would follow His lead (closing and opening doors, you know the scriptures)
  3. If you happen to get a word - please send it to me at revivalblog at gmail dot com

Thanks

Well, Holy Spirit reminded me of something I blogged yesterday “if you can do it now, then do it!”. So I downed tools and prayed. I felt a very real sense of confusion, a real second heaven thing, and I felt led to break it. It took some persistence to break, but I really do feel a release of revelation and direction to you. Ask yourselves what is in your “gut” rather than looking at circumstances. Trust what is in your gut. If God reveals anything specific to me then I will email you. Be blessed.

I am facing similar situations…decisions that cannot be made by the flesh, but by the Spirit!
Please know I am praying for you also!

Lord, we pray for Carl and his family today, let him feel your presense in a different way, You have given him counsel and words for others, now bring him and his wife special words of counsel for the path ahead. let him be confident that his decisions will be born by your Spirit. Take away any of the fog that the enemy wants to sow and bring clarity. Show him the open door or in this case, the open doors before him, and give him a glimpse of what the future might bring in his choices of several different directions. Let him not be afraid of the difficult path. Lord duplicate everything here for his wife and give part of the solution to each, so that the final decision will be owned by both. Both are called and chosen for the task before them. In Jesus name, Amen.
