Thanks. Right on. It’s amazing the abuse of supposed grace that goes on in churches. Romans 6 revisited only they “keep on sinning so grace will increase” and don’t realize they are slaves to unrighteousness and sin. It really grieves me. I was becoming one of them until the Lord snatched me out.

@Michael - It seems like some almost worship John Piper. when I started to read and write his stuff I couldn’t find much to disagree with.

You seem to be describing some churches I’ve had first hand experience in.

From my meager experience, I’ve found that there’s been compromise in the lead guy’s life in some way, and he developed a theology around it in order to justify himself.

Then, the church collapses, he and his team move on and leave a bunch of spiritually unhealthy people in his wake.

Thank God for liberty. Thank God even more for mature love that refuses to see people hurt from our liberty.
