My Rib is Hurting Me

Last night I answered a knock at the door.  I opened it and there stood a woman holding a clip board and a man stood behind her.  They were obviously sales people and since I am broke (as my half dozen loyal readers know) I was not interested.

As the woman began to introduce herself I quickly said, “I am sorry but we are about to sit down for dinner.  Thanks.  Have a great day.”  Then I promptly closed the door.  I was not rude.  In fact I smiled the whole time.

As I walked into the living room my wife said,

“You used to invite salesmen in to witness to them.”

Ouch!  I mean, OUCH!  That was really painful.

It’s okay. We serve. We are human. We get tired. God is faithful and He will make sure that those people hear what they need to hear. You take care of you and your family. Allow yourself that. I’ve had to.
