[...] I started thinking about this issue after reading a post about ‘impartation’ by Carl of Revival Blog. Then there was an earlier article by Rick Ianniello entitled ‘warren haters’ which references a group and a blog which spends an incredible amount of time and energy opposing a successful minister and mega church in my own neighborhood (I can see the church from my house). A ministry which has brought hundreds and maybe even thousands to Christ and has a good reputation in the community. It is definitely not a Revival but the ‘opposition’ modus operandi is similar.
Great post! It's very true, when yopu decide you really want revival and to move into God's order, you WILL have to decide to move with God or be cut off by man...and being cut off by men the vast majority of the time happens!

Send me some 411 on what's going on wiht you guys...I've been praying for you

You would know! I thought that

I thought that John's church became one of first handful of Vineyards right off the bat. I did not know that he had lead a church that transitioned.

And mind you, I am not giving Lonnie all the credit for either movement's spread but surely he had something to do with it.

We know things did not end well for him but that is the same story of so many great men in the Bible and does not take away to his contribution to the advancement of the Kingdom in my opinion.

The last move folks always seem to have some difficulty with the current move people. Though I believe many leaders are beginning to fight that tendency and seek to be in place to catch the next wave.

Those who seek Revival need to be ready to shed the old wineskins and make place for the new. What is encouraging to me is that there are individual churches all across this country with all sorts of different nameplates that are looking and preparing.

One minor correction to your history- when John Wimber invited Lonnie to minister in his church it was a Calvary Chapel.
