@Vania - had a little too much coffee today? I don't have any idea where you got what you wrote but let me try to help you understand what I wrote.

There are churches that believe that those who speak in tongues or prophesy are under the power of the devil. But they sing songs written by people who speak in tongues and prophesy. That is the hypocrisy.

If that offends you I really can't help it.

@Will I really agree. It is not even my favored music style but I force my preferences to bend toward their music because it is so good.

@Patsy - Funny how that Bible freaks people out. I have heard of people that were not allowed to read Songs of Solomon growing up.

I agree that Hillsongs is the best all around worship music out there right now. Incredible the worldwide fruit that has come from their ministry. I also completely agree about their lyrics. The combination of the deep lyrics and arresting music can sometimes just put you in another dimension.

So, just because they don't dance in the holy ghost and lay flat on the floor, slain in the spirit, you believe they are not worthy to sing the songs?
It seems a little hypocritical on your part, if I may say so....judgemental.

I believe that Jesus had 12 disciples exactly because he knew there were going to be many types of churches... 12 different man, 12 different minds, all following one Christ.

I am sorry to say, but there are a lot of people that will get to heaven that never once uttered a word of prophecy, or spoke in tongues.

I find your post offensive to say the least.

Be nice.

What I find even funnier is how the spirit-filled world can also wig out. I remember David Ruis writing a song back in the early 90's called True Love that wigged out a number of people in the church. One of the lines is:

Let me know the kisses of Your mouth,
Let me feel Your embrace

It comes straight out of the Song of Songs, yet it weirded the church out.
