Please remain in prayer for my wife Roopa to be completely healed from polio & severe scoliosis ( has had from childhood). She has had so many prophetic dreams, prophecies spoken over her, that God is going to heal her, but the severity of the pain she deals with on a daily basis produces such spiritual battles ( depression, etc.) plus all of the rejection she endured as a child because of her disability. We truly long for the miraculous healing touch of God to come to her body, and a spirit of hope & encouragement to sustain us until it does.
Thank you so much for your prayers. We are truly desperate for God to perform a creative miracle in Roopa....she has been on such a physical and emotional roller-coaster for such a long time, and I long to see my darling wife delivered from this infirmity....please let all of your intercessors know that it means everything to us to know that Roopa and her complete healing are being held up before the Presence of the Lord until He comes to her in all of His Power & Glory and completely heals her & raises her up to be a testimony of His Power & salvation to all of the East Indian Sikh & Hindu community which she came out of, even to the point of enduring rejection and abandonment by her own family. As much as she needs tremendous physical healing, she truly needs a deep inner healing as well, and to know the love of God as her healing balm that binds up all her wounds.....
Love,
Mark & Roopa

(note: address and phone deleted by admin)

P.S. As of today, Roopa's symptoms have grown worse, in spite of continued prayer. She has taken 8 Tylenol 3's today, as well as 1200mg of Motrin, and still no relief from her
pain. She cannot even walk with her crutch except with excruciating pain. We have never been more desperate for God to show Himself as her Healer, and have cried out to Him till there are
no more words to express, no more tears to cry....our 3 year old daughter Asha needs her mommy to be made whole, and Roopa wants to be the wife & mother she has always desired to be....
please, please keep us before the throne of God, before the mercy seat, till the Son rises over my wife with healing in His wings.....Roopa has been the sunshine & rainbows in my life....she has
been my best friend, the most beautiful woman with the most beautiful soul I have ever known....she is the moon & stars to me....she is the most wonderful wife & mother any woman could ever
hope to be, and if Jesus paid the price for not only her sins, but for her healing as well, then she deserves to walk in it...she deserves to feel the cool green grass beneath her feet, splash in a pool,
ride bikes and go skating with her daughter....to run just for the feeling of being able to run....to learn to skip rope, maybe play hop-skotch, and all of the other silly things she never could do as a
little girl.....to be her Heavenly Daddy's little girl......Please keep this precious gift of God to me, my wife, in your prayers......
Also, please pray that the generational/ ancestral curses behind Roopa's battle with polio will be completely broken by the power of God.

Right on Carl! God heals!

I know that we've both been contending for healing over the last wee while. Both our blogs visit this subject regularly. I feel your hunger.

I've written a fair bit recently about the kind of authority that flows out of relationship. We've seen limbs grow before our eyes. In fact we're now so confident in Him, and Him alone, that we ask the person receiving ministry to "watch what God is about to do". We've seen a lady lame with osteo-arthritis and osteoporosis leave her stick behind and run up and down the nearest staircase. We're seeing God do amazing things every week, and we're humbled that He uses us.

One thing I would encourage you about is that sometimes healing happens a little after you've ministered. Don't know why, but it does sometimes. Here's just one example. A lady in a wheelchair came for ministry at Healing On The Streets in Coleraine, Ireland. She was paralysed from the waist down by an epidural injection accident during childbirth many years earlier. She received ministry but left in her wheelchair. Half an hour later, on the way home, she suddenly shouts to her husband "stop the car", gets out and runs, full of joy, round and round and round the car. She told many people in the town where she lives and many of them now take the 2 hour journey to Coleraine for healing.

NEVER assume nothing has happened my friend ;-) Sometimes we strive for a result instead of being content that we've done our part and the rest is still in His hands. Have we left people in a place of blessing and peace where they're receptive to the continuing work of God's love and His lingering presence that builds faith?

We're still learning tons and remain challenged in many areas. I think that's the key: LEARN from Holy Spirit. Believe that God wants to heal people through YOU and ask Holy Spirit what to do. Invite Him when you're alone together and let Him do any heart surgery He deems necessary (He's done an awful lot in my heart over the last 12-18 months). Ask Him what to do when you're with the sick and lame. Never become prescriptive - He needs to be in control. Always minister from a place of peace, awareness of His presence, and a deep, deep, genuine love for the person you're ministering to.

Keep going Bro. God wants to heal and He wants to use YOU. Chet - that includes you too! :-)

Carl,
I have only known one person to be healed by all the years I have been praying for sicknesses (cancer). It gets frustrating, and at times I am reluctant to pray for the sick. After so many years of praying, and exercising what faith I had, it really takes a toll on the faith that remains.
I console myself with the thought that not everybody has the gifts of healing.

Great testimony! Thanks for sharing. I saw a dear friend of mine that had been bed ridden for almost two years healed of a back condition in a Rodney Howard-Browne meeting one time. She didn't even know she was healed until she realized she was dancing. There is something in a heart that seeks to worship!

btw. . . I tried to comment on your blog but it requires a person be logged in first. You might want to change that.

hi Carl!

God healed me! Completely, totally, fully... of a crippling genetic disorder.

The short story: I had elhers-danlos syndrome and alternated between cane and wheelchair, was in incredible pain, and took morphine like candy. I prayed for healing for six years (from the time I began following Christ). God promised me that one day, I would dance for Him. I wasn't sure how that might happen, but I believed it would!

One day, my fingers began to heal. This was an incredibly painful process at first - but they didn't dislocate any more! Two days later, in church during a time of singing and praising God, I felt my body begin to move - and I was dancing.

I have not experienced pain since that day. Every joint in my body is normal. My doctor nearly fainted when she examined me (and discharged me). I stopped taking the morphine the next day, went into withdrawl shortly thereafter, and came back to the church. Our pastor laid hands on me and prayed, and BAM! No more withdrawl. God kicked physical addiction to morphine in five seconds flat. :) This week, I had a hip xray made. Before, you could see the arthritis and damage to my hips from repeated dislocations. NOW MY HIPS LOOK NORMAL. Glory to God! Hallelujah!

There's more details - mostly written as it happened - over on my website, http://www.iamhealed.net. And that's really just the tip of the iceberg because God has done more than that in my life. I'm in the process of re-writing my testimony so that it's coherent and readable, hopefully will get that posted this week as well.

God does heal - He does it in His time, in His way. I sought God with faith during those six years, and the people praying for me during that time had plenty of faith for my healing, too. Why didn't He heal me instantaneously the first time I asked? I have some theories, but my answer boils down to, "I don't know". Lack of faith - at least in my case - isn't the reason.

Something to consider, with regards to your experience. My friend Tim Enloe (enloeministries.org) says that when you minister to someone with all faith that something will happen, and trust in God - the results aren't what matters. The very fact that they were able to see Jesus through you matters far more than the IMMEDIATE results. Don't discount the importance of ministry and relationship in the life of a person - God cares about the transformation of hearts. In the six years that people were praying for my healing, I experienced great ministry from people, and also had great opportunities to minister TO people precisely because I was in pain and was able to relate in ways that someone who wasn't - couldn't. (hope that makes sense.)

Enough comment-ramblyness... thanks for getting me thinking this morning!
