Does God Want John McCain Dead?

October 11th, 2008 by Carl Thomas.

I have seen a bunch of goofy prophecies in my day.  But I am a little confused about some that are in circulation.

Though there are several variations, they have the common theme that God wants the McCain/Palin ticket to win because Sarah Palin is the chosen one.  They generally have an addendum that God is tricking America to vote for McCain so His plan for a President Palin can come to fruition.

Does this seem odd to anyone else? Does God desire for President McCain to be replaced by impeachment or death?  Has God become so week that he has to use subterfuge to get something done?  Should John tank the election so that he can avoid public humiliation or even worse death?

What says you?

Though Sarah Pallin has impressive character compared to the rest of the political figures! I’d say God is more interested in the authentic salvation into life of Mcain, then Pallin’s climb to power through his death!

My opinion?? Oh brother…. Puh lease. That is pretty scary stuff, I would question anything I thought I heard from God if it was like that, sheesh. I think I might even chalk that up to flesh and write it off ;)

I’ve heard way too many prophecies about this election. It’s rather annoying, honestly. I’m not one to invest my faith into government. Don’t trust them. And they know it. I’m sure I’m on a list somewhere.

I actually had a long e-mail conversation about this very thing. I feel like people tread on very dangerous territory when they say “This person is of God/from God and this person is not.” It especially bugs me when pastors say such things from the pulpit. I plan to vote for McCain, but not because I feel like that is the “God ticket”. God can bring anyone he wants into power and we would be foolish to say that we understand or foresee God’s plan simply because Palin is a Christian. I believe whoever gets elected on Nov 4th is the person who is supposed to be there for this time in history and whether curses or blessings come our way because of it is all in God’s hands. I believe we serve an all knowing all powerful God who’s will is not dependent one the votes or decisions of mere men. I am NOT saying don’t vote because it doesn’t matter. God uses human actions to bring about his will, which is ultimately his own glory. Do vote! It is your responsibility to our nation, but vote based on your own political preferences and moral beliefs not because some untested “prophet” claims McCain-Palin is God’s will.

I agree with you. Prophecy is for encouragement and that sounds like a curse. But I also know the prophetic voices who are saying these things, most of the ones i know of are people called to the office of a prophet and have accepted the responsibility of a prophet. I think they know what they’re saying, they know the implications.

I don’t think its is the place of a prophet to speak death over someone (especially a pres candidate) I also think its not the prophet who came to that conclusion.

The words spoken could mean many things. Maybe McCain leaves voluntarily, or even though she says VP- she still makes an impact from that position.
I would even hope that if Palin isn’t elected, that she still has an impact through her character and beliefs on the president who is elected.

“Has God become so week that he has to use subterfuge to get something done?” Did you really type that? God does not change. Nothing about Him will ever become weak. “Should John tank the election so that he can avoid public humiliation or even worse death?” This is a ridiculous post.

Why in the world would you post a comment stating your comment to be ridiculous? Folks on the web never cease to amaze me.
