Day 9
December 15th, 2005 by Carl Thomas.(Psalm 9) David is really sure that he is on the side of God. In the last few psalms that I have read, I commented on the fact that David wanted God to do what David wanted Dim to do but there is something to be learned here. David felt secure in His relationship with God. David had no problem believing that God was on his side and that his troubles were God€™s troubles to the point that he demanded that God bring a remedy. He knew that was able to fix what was wrong. He did not spend countless time saying, €œif it is your will.€ He knew good and well what was God€™s will.
(Proverbs 9) Wisdom has hewn out her seven pillars. That€™s interesting because there are seven lamp stands before the throne and there are the seven fold spirits of God. Later the chapter talks about the futility of rebuking a foolish person. How we could avoid so much aggrevation if we were to follow that.
(Acts 9) €œWhen he received some food he was strengthened.€ We have to remember to strengthen the new believer. They have to be given the meat of the Word. They cannot do it on their own strength. To many times people are left to their own devices instead of being equipped to go forth in strength of this new life.
