December 14 2005 Psalm 8, Proverb 8, Acts 8
(Psalm 8 ) The Lord is excellent. The Father has put Jesus over all the earth. There is nothing that is taking by surprise. All we have to do is remember that everything happens according to His perfect will and fear not. When we keep God in perspective, our problems seem smaller.
(Proverbs 8 ) Wisdom is crying out. It dwells with prudence. Wisdom is to hate evil. There is strength in hating evil. There are times when people want us to compromise but this proverb reminds us where our security lies.
(Acts 8 ) The world is starving for the power of God. The sorcerer was able to wow the crowd will all of his magic and probably made a good living. But when he saw what the power of God was, he knew that nothing he had could compare. So many times we forget that we have what the world wants. The power of God is unmatched and unrivaled. The earth cries out with groaning for the revealing of the sons of God. That is us believers. This treasure in earthen vessels is priceless.
