Day 27
January 2nd, 2006 by Carl Thomas.January 2 Psalm 27, Proverbs 27, Acts 27
(Psalm 27) I have nothing to fear since I have God on my side. Oh how it seems otherwise at times but I have nothing to fear. There are times that I could look at situations or look at the accusations of the wicked but they are in the opposite direction of God. To look at them is to turn my back on God. Surely there is more goodness in the direction of God than the enemy.
(Proverbs 27) Life is in the hands of the master. We can make all of our plans and have our timelines and think we know how things are going to unfold but we don€™t. We really do not have any idea how God is going to do things and where he is going to lead us. We say we are going to do this and that but rarely did we actually hear him say that. We just think we know what we are going to do. It would be far better to ask God and if we do not hear anything than don€™t presume.
(Acts 27) Even the great Paul fasted. And after this many days without food an angel appeared and said that his party would be safe from the shipwreck. Though Paul had been though all kinds of stuff he still had to fast to see the victory. How much more should I be fasting and seeking the will and favor of God? Wow.
