Day 20

December 26th, 2005 by Carl Thomas.

December 26 Psalm 20, Proverbs 20, Acts 20
(Psalm 20) God will fulfill my purpose. That is so reassuring. There are times when you don’t know if you will get to fulfill your ultimate purpose. It seems so fragile and like you do not know if you can touch it. It seems like one false step and it will be taken away and never returned. That ultimate goal that you were designed to fulfill and nobody else. I have read books and heard preachers preach about fulfilling it. There are methods and steps and prayers of impartation. There is fasting and reading schedules that people put themselves on but none of those is as sure fire as knowing that God will fulfill my purpose.
(Proverbs 20) The wise king sniffs out the wicked. With this touchy feely Christianity today this verse is a wonderful change. I know people who are caught up in new age Christianity. They refuse to believe that you can put the check on evil by putting the check on evil people. The rest of that proverb says that the wise king will run over the wicked with the threshing wheel. And so have I.
(Acts 20) Paul knew that chains were coming. He heard in every town that chains awaited him but he did not stop his work and go away peacefully. He pressed on toward the mark to fulfill his call. This is awesome.
