This was forwarded by Randy Clark. It is a 55 page defense of the activities of the Lakeland outpouring. Here is a selection from page 5:

Normative New Testament evangelism is accompanied by God’ power

A simple perusal of the following passages shows that true biblical revival always involved word and deed, the preaching of the gospel alongside people ministering and experiencing (not just talking about) God’ healing and miraculous power: Matt. 4:23; 9:35-36; 10:1, 7-8; 11:5; 12:15, 18; 15:30; 19:2 (cf. Mk. 10:1); 21:14 (cf. Lk. 21:37); Mk. 1: 38-39; 2:2, 11; 3:14-15; 6:12-13; 10:1 (cf. Mat. 19:2); Lk. 4:18; 5:17, 24; 6:6-11, 17-18; 7:22; 9:1-2; 10:9, 13; 13:10-13, 22, 32; 14:4, 7ff.; 21:37 (cf. Mat. 21:14); 16:15-18, 20; Jn. 3:2; 7:14-15, 21-23, 31, 38; 10:25, 32, 38; 12:37, 49; 14:10, 12; Acts 1:1; 2:22; 3:6, 12; 4:29-30; 5:12-16, 20-21, 28, 42; 6:8, 10; 8:4-7, 12; 9:17-18 (cf. 22:13), 34-35; 10:38; 14:3, 8-10, 15ff.; 15:12, 36; 18:5, 11 (cf. 2 Cor. 12:12; 1 Cor. 2:4-5); 19:8-12; Rom. 15:18-19; 1 Cor. 2:4-5; 11:1; 12:1-11, 28-31; 14:22-25; 2 Cor. 12:12; Gal. 3:5; Phil. 4:9; 1 Thes. 1:5-6; Heb. 2:3-4; 6:1-2; Jas. 5:13-16.

Indeed Paul said in Romans 15:18-19 that only the proclamation of the gospel that is accompanied by healing, signs and wonders, that display the power of the risen Lord, represents a full proclamation of the gospel: Rom. 15:18-19 (NIV)€” I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done€” by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. [italics and boldface mine]

Read and be blessed.

Hank Hanegraaff : Spokesman for the Devil

May 5th, 2008 by Carl Thomas | 11 Comments | Filed in Christianity, Deliverance, Florida Outpouring, Healing, Holy Spirit, Revival, The Goofy Church

There is another move of God afoot so that is sure to bring out all the people who hate God. Sure enough, Hank Hanegraaff has checked in on the Lakeland Revival. Hank Hannegraaff sees that people are having their faith restored in God, are getting saved, and healed and here is how he views the events,

“We’re in desperate times, and we’ve got desperate people. And they’re looking for a quick fix,” Hanegraaff said in an interview from Charlotte, N.C. “But all they’re getting is false hope.”

There you have it folks. Hank has played his final hand. Faith in Jesus is a false hope. There is no salvation. Jesus never heals. God does not deliver. To believe in the God of the bible is to put your trust in fables.

Jesus warns the church repeatedly to beware of false teachers. In fact, we know that the anti-christ will try to divert attention from Jesus to himself. Surely this is the foundation for the end time deception. If the devil can convince enough people that sickness is from God and healings are from him then he can set the world up for the anti-christ.

edit: I have made corrections based on the response by Michael.

Random Thoughts Regarding Spiritual Warfare

December 20th, 2007 by Carl Thomas | 2 Comments | Filed in Christianity, Deliverance
  • I generally don’t recognize that I am in a spiritual battle until the enemy has struck. That annoys me. The Holy Ghost warned me a week ago that the attack was coming and I still missed it. I’m fighting back now.
  • The most disturbing, disgusting, abusive and demonic witchcraft comes from religious pentecostal Christians. There is nothing more wicked than a person who understands their authority in the spirit realm and uses it for evil.
  • It is easier to get a coven of witches saved then to get a Christian to cough up a religious demon.
  • If you are a leader in a church and sin against people in your church (gossip about them, lie to them, steal from them, misuse them for selfish gain, fill in your sin here) you are unleashing the enemy in your congregation and are storing up wrath for the day judgment.
  • Jesus really was not joking when He said the second commandment was to love your neighbor as yourself. How you treat others determines how you are treated.
I was working for a guy that became the administrator of a church. The owner of the business was planning to eliminate my position and the guy knew it but did not tell me. I showed up to work one day and was fired by the owner. I never got a call of consolation or any other kind of thing. Within a couple months that guy got fired from his church the same way. One day he went to bed no longer a pastor, with no job, and with no church.
  • You reap what you sow is not just an offering teaching. If your church preachings “give and it will be given unto you”, and you don’t treat people right, beware.
  • If you hear a pastor say that Christians cannot have a demon, you have just met a person who needs deliverance.
  • When you move into the enemy’s territory, you will get opposition because you have moved into his neighborhood. It is your job as a Christian to find his neighborhood and move into it and take over.
  • Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee
