Healing MP3s

July 19th, 2006 by Carl Thomas | 5 Comments | Filed in Christianity, Healing, Holy Spirit

As you may know, I have been praying for a healing anointing. I believe this is in line with scripture 1 Cor 12:31 and has been birthed by the Holy Ghost. So here is the progress thus far. I was at my wife’s family reunion last week and there was a woman there who had on an elbow brace because she had sprained her elbow. I prayed that he would be healed. The next night she came up to me and said that she no longer needed to wear her brace because almost all of the pain had left her. Praise God!

On another note I have seen a remarkable increase of Words of Knowledge, though not in regards to healing. The last few times I have closed out worship I got many words of knowledge on what the Holy Ghost was doing in people. These were very specific regarding not only gifting but manifestations. An example was,

There is someone who was away from the Lord as recently as a month ago and right now the Holy Spirit is restoring you and your call. You can feel a burning sensation on your chest. Allow god to minister life to you.”

And sure enough someone came up to me and told me that it was him and that the word was spot on. So I am encouraged. But here is what I am requesting.

If you have any Randy Clark or Che Ahn sermon mp3s would you consider emailing them to me at revivalblog at gmail dot com. I specifically am looking for Randy Clark teaching impartation. If there are any others that have ministered to you along these same lines I would appreciate them also.

Thanks!

Healing Anointing

July 6th, 2006 by Carl Thomas | 9 Comments | Filed in Christianity, Healing, Holy Spirit

I pray for people to be healed all the time.  And I never understand why people are not healed when I am done.  I have prayed for people for short, and long periods of time with about the same results.  Every now and then people are healed.  A little more often, people feel a little better and even more, people feel the presence of God but they are not healed.  I cannot take this much longer

I could post a whole bunch here but I won’t.

If you have a healing gifting, please pray that I will receive the same (or more).  If you have a prophetic gifting, please stir yourself up and pray the same.  If you get a word, please email it to me.

Genuine Christianity

July 6th, 2006 by Carl Thomas | 2 Comments | Filed in Christianity, Healing, Holy Spirit, Revival

I am going to re-post the last blog entry of Heidi Baker of Iris Ministries in Mozambique. if you read this blog regularly than you probably know who she is and know of her ministry just like I do because we probably travel in the same spiritual circles. Anyway, this looks like genuine Christianity to me.

Heidi€™s Boilerplate
July 1st, 2006

Thank you for keeping in touch. Thank you for praying for us. We have just had an amazing conference in Nampula. Two deaf mutes were healed!!!! The whole village knew them, so these beautiful miracles caused quite a stir among the people. My favorite meeting was outdoors one night when the presence of God came upon us and the people fell to their knees before Jesus. Hundreds of Moslems gave their hearts to God. We also had a joyful group wedding with fourteen couples joining their lives in holy matrimony. After the weddings there was exuberant song and dance celebrating King Jesus as hundreds of new believers were baptized. However, I have a hunger for Jesus that is only satisfied as I find more children. In the past few days we have been enriched with three new treasures €” children given to us to love and care for. As I watch Emilyn hold Lourdis, our new tiny baby, I feel God€™s intense pleasure. Lourdis was starving to death after her mother died, but we got her in time. She is a gift to us from Jesus. Helena, one of our twelve-year-old girls at our Zimpeto base, just died of cerebral malaria. Daily we understand both joy and suffering. Life is full of emotions. Mother Teresa has helped me through her writings to make sense of much I had trouble articulating: €œHungry for love, He looks at you. Thirsty for kindness, He begs from you. Naked for loyalty, He hopes in you. Sick and imprisoned for friendship, He wants from you. Homeless for shelter in your heart, He asks of you. Will you be that one to Him?€ We can find the face of God in the poor (Matthew 25:45). We do what we do for Him, in Jesus, through Jesus, with Jesus, to Jesus. We make ourselves totally available to Him. May you know the glory of His love today. Please stop for the one.

Much love in Jesus, Heidi

The Shift

June 29th, 2006 by Carl Thomas | 3 Comments | Filed in Christianity, Healing, Holy Spirit, Prophesy, Revival, Revival Newsletters

I got an email from the New Wine network written by guy who went to a prophetic conference recently.

There were two parts of the email that I found interesting.

The second report was from Paul Keith Davis who mentioned that he considers John Kilpatrick to be his pastor and that they meet regularly to talk and fellowship. John told him how at Brownsville that the anointing of God would fall each night and that when it did everything would noticeably change. The air would seem to change. Colors would appear different. People’s faces would change. The music would change. In a moment, everything would suddenly be taken to another level and God would move in.

John said that they were always concerned that each day would be the last day they would see God move in like this. And often God would come in a different times. Sometimes, He would come in early on during worship, and at other times, it would be late after the message. Fortunately, God came day after day after day.

But one day John saw two balls of light surrounding the podium. He didn’t normally see such things and he asked God what they were. God told them they were His anointings for healings and God told him to get up and release that anointing. John got up but as he started to tell the people what he had seen, suddenly God’s anointing flowed through him extremely strong to the point that he said he was “vomiting” out words of knowledge about healings. Many medical terms came spewing out of his mouth that he had never heard before. And at one point he said a particularly long medical name and when he spoke it a beam of light about a foot long came out his mouth and shot out into the congregation.

Only John saw this light, but it weaved its way over and around people until it struck a lady near her heart, and soon she was screaming. He found out that she had an incredibly rare malady that had the name he had spoken and he learned how she had traveled to the best doctors in the U.S. and in Europe, but nobody could do anything for her. She reached the point where she told God that if didn’t heal her that night that she would rather just die and go to heaven. She ended up healed that night.

And another part about a shift that is happening. (more…)

My Cleansing

June 13th, 2006 by Carl Thomas | 6 Comments | Filed in Christianity, Doctrine, Healing, Holy Spirit, Prophesy, Revival, Tongues, holiness

God has been doing a work in me lately and I guess it is time to start to announce it. Steve Sjogren touches on the subject and comes to the conclusion that some people need to stop going to church. No he does not favor home church, he says they should stay away from Church all together.

Growing Edge Buzz: Some people shouldn’t go to church, pt. 1: Crabby is not a fruit of the Spirit: “After following Jesus for over 30 years now, I have come to the conclusion that there are some people who do great damage to the cause of Christ because they continue to come to church week after week. I have no idea what they are hearing in their various churches, but their behavior, based on what is on display in the restaurants they frequent immediately after their church experience, is exactly the opposite of the attitude of Jesus as described in the Gospels.

The Church has become so academic and doctrine centered that we have made the real test, the fruit of the Spirit, a sort of secondary factor in our Christianity. As I posted yesterday, there is a move among some of us to test what we have been preaching and what we look for as confirmations of a move of the Spirit.

I am Pentecostal. I believe in all the manifestations in the Bible (1 Cor 12:7-10) and many others that are not. Yet I am beginning to long for what the original Pentecostals were searching for when they received the baptism, holiness (1 Peter 1:16). They sought to be sanctified. Today that is preached as a sort of byproduct, not a goal.

If we receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost, pray in tongues, declare visions, see the sick healed, yet do not see a work of the Spirit in our own live as manifested in holiness have we really been baptized in the Holy Spirit (Acts 3:19-20)? Or has He just come upon us to do His will (Isaiah 61:1-3)?

God has really been challenging my doctrine and I have avoided writing about it because I am not quite prepared to defend it but God is stirring up a word in me and I cannot deny it. I have spent years praying for greater anointing, deeper visions, a more clear calling, deeper intimacy and I have received all of that. Yet at the same time I have avoided latent sin in my life and fear has kept me from descending into the basement of my soul and dealing with some long held fears. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a mistress and I am not laying in bed for days with depression but sin is sin none the less.

If the Spirit of God is sent to convict the world of righteousness sin and judgement than I do not know how one can claom to be full of the spirit and still live in sin. I am convinced that I am not going to find out! I have been on my face seeking His righteousness and He has been faithful.

In the last several months I have been unable to do things that would not have bothered me before. To that I give God the glory. But I still have to recconcile what I preach with what God is showing me. He is still desiring a Holy people (1 Thess 5:23).

Student Suspended for Healing Meeting

June 2nd, 2006 by Carl Thomas | 1 Comment | Filed in Christianity, Healing, Holy Spirit, News, Revival

There is this church that is having nightly revival meetings.  A kid got saved in it and started seeing a healing gift begin to manifest so he started praying for the sick in his school. They made him stop so he crossed the street.

Kyle Lubbers, 16, said principal Sean Keane suspended him for a day when a crowd of about 100 students gathered Wednesday to watch Lubbers perform a healing service across the street from the school.

The whole story is here.

That is a disciplinary call from school I would love to get!  More Lord!

Iris Ministries Update

May 25th, 2006 by Carl Thomas | No Comments | Filed in Christianity, Healing, Holy Spirit, Revival, Revival Newsletters

Here is a new post on the Iris Ministries Blog. If you don’t know them, get to know them.

Sunday was a beautiful day. Church was filled with singing, dancing Makua and Macondie friends along with many visitors from around the world. I preached from Mark 16:15-18, €œHe said to them, €˜Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.€

In Mozambique, we see King Jesus protect us from great opposition as he promised in this passage. During church, several people gave their testimonies. One lady had been full of demons and was told by her witch doctor to eat her family! She was severely sick and could not sleep. She would cut her arm and drink her own blood. When she came to church I would hug her and pray she would know the love of Jesus. Then one of our pastors visited her and burned all her witch doctor fetishes, and almost immediately she was freed and filled with the peace of Jesus. This morning her face was beaming with love, and instead of eating her family, they have become her friends!

Crest of the Wave

May 5th, 2006 by Carl Thomas | 1 Comment | Filed in Christianity, Healing, Holy Spirit, Prophesy, Revival, Youth Ministry

This is a follow up to the previous post where I wrote about the Holy ghost happenings at the youth service.  This is what happened after the service.

There was this girl there that had come for the first time the week before.  We send out a 15 passenger van and pick up kids whose parents don’t come to church and she and her friend were on the van.  (little side note, the girl in this post and this post is the one that invited her and her friend to come) Last week we had some group come minister.  The worship was anointed and performed well.  After the message the leader had an altar call for people who want to be radical for God.  She came forward and I felt like my wife was supposed to minister to her.  She was severely troubled.

But here she was.  Back the next week and God put her on my heart.  I began to pray and God gave me a vision for her.  After the service I asked her if I could talk to her.  Right then they put on some music and I could not even have a conversation.  We took her into the office and closed the door.

I shared with her a vision that God showed me that He had marked her for Himself.  Tears began to flow down her cheeks.  She then began to detail her problems chief among them was major anxiety.

My wife began to pray for her and the anointing came into the room.  She was getting touched but there was definitely a block.  We stayed there for a good ten minutes praying but there was still a block.  I am not always the quickest guy, I will admit that.  The whole time I thought she was backslidden so I asked her, €œAre you saved?€  She said, €œAm I what?€  I could have kicked myself.

I told her the story, quoted the scriptures and gave her an opportunity to be born again.  She prayed that God would forgive her and cleanse her.  She promised God that she would change how she lived.  I didn€™t tell her to say any of this.  It was her and the Holy Ghost.

I then evicted all kids of things that no longer had a right to her, canceled things that were spoken over her, and declared a new day.  This was the unstoppable tide.  This was the wave that we could not block.

Isaiah 43:21

the people whom I formed for myself
that they might declare my praise.

The joy of the Lord came over her and she began to laugh.  I asked her, €œHow do you feel?€  She simply said, €œI feel like I am not going to have to worry so much anymore.€

And Jesus keeps coming.
