November 9th, 2006 by Carl Thomas. Here is a video about the Smithton Outpouring.
This may just be me but I think it is interesting that the video starts with an outpouring and ends with building projects.

You have to have buildings to put people in. You wouldn’t invite people to your house if you couldn’t fit them all in there. I’ve been to there church and it’s not fancy @ all, but very nice and clean. Plus they have no debt, everything you see is paid for by the people who go their. You should check it out, I was very impressed and changed.

Thans for the feedback Greg. That’s a great report. And surely this video is just the opinion of one,

You say the video starts with an outpouring but ends with building projects. That is incorrect! The video ends with Pastor Steve talking about the presence and power of God coming down among his people. I attend WRC. I have been with the Grays for over 25 years. I was there the night revival started and have missed very few services in the following 13 years and have seen and experienced the presence of God many times! Have you been to a weekend of services? You should at least come and see what God is doing! Do you really think we could fake this for 13 years? Hahahaha….

Steve, I, in no way am insinuating that this was faked. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to address that. My only point with the comment (made 2.5 years ago) was that so many moves of God can can get characterized by buildings and attendance instead of what God has done. I was making a comment on the video, not the outpouring.
Side note: This weekend, I read the book that Pastor Steve first wrote about the revival. When I read the part about the night the elders repented I felt the wind of God blow in my face and I started weeping. Awesome! I hope to visit the church sometime. Hopefully we will meet.

Carl, I posted this video back in 06. I guess the point of the video didn’t come across that well. It wasn’t about a building project. This was a church that God rose from the dead. Before revival broke out in Smithton (a town of 532 people) the church did not own a telephone. In a 3 year period over 250,000 people went to that small town. That’s amazing in itself considering there was absolutely nothing there but the church
but when they came they met God. It was clear that the church had outgrown that area, that is why we moved to Kansas City. The new building was built to be able seat the amount of people that were/are coming.
Since May 2, 2008 we have experienced an upsurge in the presence of God. The mark of a true revival is changed lives. Peoples lives are being changed every service. If ever you plan to attend you should come now. You can also watch the services live on Daystar every Friday night or watch streaming video at worldrevivalchurch.com . Then after hearing the worship, testimonies, and the preaching of the word, you can be a better judge on what is happening. I also hope that you can make it to a weekend of services. There is nothing like being in an actual service where God comes down! Your life will be changed!!

Praise God. The fire if falling lots of places these days and I rejoice in that.
The danger is thinking that we are special or the God can only do what He is doing in our church. Or that He is not doing the same thing all over the world.

July 2003. In prayer the Lord told me that I would see the “last flickers”, in referance to the Brownsville Revival. Looking though the church website and school website, I am in greatful, so thankful, so prayerful that what has become known as the Smithton Outpouring is still being poured out. Still being lit afire by God’s glory. I’ve always wondered about the revival there in Smithton from the day I heard about it. Thanks for posting this video. Today, is the first day i’ve seen it.

I think we all need to realize that even in the book of Acts, the result of Revival is always Churches being established. Because many people will get saved during times of refreshing and revival. So that means that there has to be buildings built.
